Have you ever wondered how to clean your precious Gems? I've created a cleaning chart that can guide you on the most used gemstones in jewellers. On this file, I have included the most commonly used cleaning techniques including Steam Cleaner, Ultrasonic, Soap and warm water and a Microfiber Cloth.
 
Before attempting any clean techniques, please make sure you have identified the gemstone correctly as if misjudged, you could damage the material.
 
The information on this chart is intended for general guidelines for cleaning Gemstones, Pearl, Diamonds and Minerals. The final result can vary depending on the product you use and the frequency of the ultrasonic cleaner. The strength of the solutions can also play a big part and could damage the stone. Please follow manufacturer instruction on each machine and, if you’re not sure of a gem, avoid steam or ultrasonic cleaning.
